Gas Boiler Service and Repair Engineer

Local Plumbers We Care are looking for an experienced Gas Boiler Service and Repair Engineer to become part of our passionate and ambitious team.

The right candidate should be independent, pragmatic, and able to interact with customers in a friendly, but professional way. If successful, you will work closely with our supervising gas engineer, who will oversee your development and offer help and support where necessary. Additional training will be provided.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Attend scheduled appointments as instructed.
  • Install, repair and service central heating systems and various gas appliances in domestic properties, in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and company procedures.
  • Issue the relevant gas safety notices and certificates.
  • Complete work-activity-related documentation, which may require the use of a tablet.
  • Manage your own stock and materials using authorised suppliers.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to maintain an accurate record of all work carried out.
  • Drive company vehicles safely and courteously.
  • Positively represent the company to customers and to the public.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety procedures and relevant industry standards.

Experience:

This role requires a minimum of 4 years’ experience working with central heating systems and other gas appliances.

Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • NVQ Level 1 and 2 in Plumbing & Heating
  • Asbestos Awareness Course
  • G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification
  • 17th or 18th Edition or Part P electrical qualifications
  • Experience of servicing and maintaining renewable technologies, including heat pumps, solar thermal systems, etc.
